To all the Mates family. I wanted to send my sincere condolences to a lady who was just a fantastic woman, a great Mum and a friend. She always had a smile and her laughter is embedded in my memory. She was a stalwart, an absolute trooper and I know she will be missed by all of you. I will always have my own fond memories of her, especially bonfire nights when we were all together down Lea Lane with my parents. Her and Donald were two of the most hardworking people I have ever known and my childhood would not have been the same without them and both farms to explore and befriend the cows beyond the hay barns. I send my love and sympathy. May she rest in peace and be reunited with Donald. Elaine Conroy (nee Midwood)
